Art Encounter at the Social Welfare Home on Ametystowa

Another inspiring Art Encounter took place at the Social Welfare Home on Ametystowa Street in Lublin.
We had the great pleasure of welcoming Ms. Jolanta Polańska, an outstanding art curator from the National Museum in Lublin, who delivered a fascinating lecture on the painting and artistic legacy of Wojciech Gerson.
Wojciech Gerson (1831–1901) was one of Poland’s most important painters of the 19th century, a leading representative of Polish Realism, and a passionate promoter of national history and landscape painting. He was also an exceptional educator who taught and inspired generations of artists, including such renowned painters as Józef Chełmoński, Leon Wyczółkowski, Władysław Podkowiński, Józef Pankiewicz, and Anna Bilińska-Bohdanowiczowa. His influence on Polish art extended far beyond his own remarkable works and helped shape the future of Polish painting.
This was yet another wonderful Art Encounter led by Ms. Jolanta Polańska at the Social Welfare Home. In recognition of her dedication and her extraordinary contribution to bringing light, beauty, and joy into the lives of the residents, she was presented with a special diploma of appreciation.
