About us
How it has
Started
The impetus for Stock Spirits Group to set up a charitable foundation came from the sudden influx of huge numbers of refugees from Ukraine, triggered by the Russian attack on 24 February 2022. Aware of the anticipated long-lasting conflict, we decided to set up a foundation to support Ukrainian refugees, particularly in Lublin, due to its close proximity to the Ukrainian border.
Since the beginning of the war in Ukraine, the City of Lublin was one of the major reception points for Ukrainian refugees and turned to be one of the biggest refugee clusters in Poland. It has taken in over a million of people, and approx. 60 thousand havestayed in Lublin permanently.

From its inception, the Stock Foundation focused on alleviating the crisis resulting from the influx of refugees from Ukraine. To achieve its objectives, the Foundation launched “Spirit of Ukraine” program in Lublin – a multi-faceted approach, which included providing aid to schools accommodating refugee children, offering psychological support to those traumatized by the conflict, and facilitating employment opportunities for those affected.
For its efforts in helping refugees, the Stock Foundation was awarded the Lublin Heroes Medal by the President of Lublin on the anniversary of the outbreak of war in Ukraine.

Our key initiatives for refugees included:
Psychological Support
Therapies led by qualified psychologists, providing emotional support and tools to cope with the trauma of war. Creating a safe space for open communication. Emotional regulation exercises and coping with difficult situations.
Integrational Job Fair Meetings
Regular meetings for refugees, offering opportunities to connect with employers and help with immigration issues. An inclusive platform to share experiences and provide support.

How is it
Evolving
From the beginning it was assumed that as the crisis related to refugees subsided, the Stock Foundation would become a platform to carry out important social projects, engaging employees, recruiting volunteers.
The new direction of our foundation revolves around fostering the accessibility of culture and art, while concurrently addressing social isolation and empowering local communities. This approach aims to serve several purposes, emphasizing the following key elements:

Advocacy and Promotion of Arts and Culture
Taking on the role of an advocate or promoter for arts and culture signifies a commitment to championing these causes, possibly through awareness campaigns, educational programs, or supporting artists and cultural institutions. Czytaj dalej …

Recognizing the Positive Impact of Art on Mental Health
Acknowledging the positive influence of art on mental health, underscores a continuity from the foundation’s initial initiatives. This aspect indicates a commitment to addressing mental health concerns through culturally enriching activities and experiences.

Promoting Creative and Collective Activities
Encouraging people to engage in creative and collective activities, emphasizing the importance of spending time together and exploring innovative ways to do so. This could involve organizing events, workshops, or initiatives that foster creativity and social interaction, motivate individuals to step out of their comfort zones, explore their surroundings, and participate in diverse cultural activities.
