On 18 November a special meeting took place at the Social Welfare Home on Ametystowa Street in Lublin. Our Foundation invited Barbara Czajkowska, an experienced art curator, who led a talk about the collections of a major museum in Florence – Galleria degli Uffizi.

She spoke about works by artists such as Botticelli, Michelangelo and Leonardo da Vinci, explaining their stories in a clear and engaging way. She also described how these artworks ended up in Florence and what makes this museum so important today.

Residents listened with great interest, and many said they felt as if they were actually there, walking through the museum halls and seeing the art with their own eyes.

We are glad we could bring a piece of Florence to Ametystowa Street and make the day a bit more special.
