Last Thursday, the Stock Foundation had the honour of supporting a truly special initiative for people with disabilities living at the care home on Kosmonautów Street in Lublin.

For the first time, a group of volunteers — including one from our Foundation — took residents using wheelchairs on a long and joyful walk through the city. The route started at the care home and led through Lublin’s streets, across the main pedestrian area, past Litewski Square, and all the way to Ludowy Park.

After the walk, Foundation-sponsored minibuses brought everyone back safely.

The atmosphere was cheerful and full of positive energy. It’s not every day that such an outing is possible, and it was clear how much it meant to the residents. Our volunteers came away with full hearts and the satisfaction of having brought a little sunshine into someone’s day.

We’re grateful to have been part of this day — and we’re already looking forward to the next one.
