FLAVORS OF CHANGE GRANT PROGRAM – GRANT FOR OSP CZERNIĘCIN VIII.2024
News / Blog
The STOCK Foundation’s “Flavors of Change Grants” programme supports local communities through grants for aid projects in which employees of Stock Poland get involved as volunteers. It was launched at the beginning of the year, and the winners included projects from the Czech Republic, Italy, Poland and Croatia. Croatia. Today, we are presenting a grant to a Fire Brigade in Czernięcin near Lublin.
Sebastian Puchała, actively involved as a volunteer, obtained funds for the renovation of the fire station. Renovated exit and a new drainage system will speed up the response time of the fire brigade and reduce the time from call-out to action to less than four minutes. Better working conditions directly translate into more efficient rescue operations. There are 30 firefighters and one vehicle at the disposal of the fire brigade – a worn-out Star was replaced by a more modern Man vehicle. The unit recently celebrated a magnificent 100th anniversary and is proud to look to both the past and the future – young people are keen to get involved in its activities.
The initiatives supported by the STOCK Foundation strengthen the local communities and contribute to improving their safety. And the volunteers’ involvement and financial support make a real difference to the quality of life in the communities.
