The first events of the new STOCK Foundation initiative, Encounters with Art, were led by Ms Jolanta Polańska, Senior Curator at the National Museum in Lublin. The museum provides substantive support to our project. Ms Jolanta has impressive experience of over 40 years working at the museum and has curated many exhibitions. She conducts classes on museum activities and art history, and has been running a museum section for the Lublin University of the Third Age for 10 years.

Lectures from the Encounters with Art series were held at the headquarters of the Complex of Support Centres at Lwowska 28 in Lublin. Ms Jolanta invited the guests to the fascinating world of the artistic Kossak family. The meetings were very popular with seniors, attracting almost people who receive assistance from the Complex of Support Centres. The initiative aims to facilitate contact with art for people who have difficult access to it or need support for various personal reasons.
