In every local community there are people who help others on their own initiative and get involved in causes that matter to those around them. The Stock Foundation supports Stock employees who want to develop such activities by offering small grants to put their ideas into practice. We fund initiatives where even relatively modest support can significantly increase the scale and effectiveness of community engagement. We give employees the opportunity to turn good ideas into concrete action and lasting benefits for local communities.

How it started

The program was launched at the beginning of 2024 as an international employee volunteering program. Projects are put forward by Stock group employees who are themselves active in their communities, so every application comes from someone who vouches for the project. In its first year grants went to projects in Poland, Czechia, Italy and Croatia.

Why we run it

The program aims to encourage employees to volunteer, to support projects that answer real needs of local communities and to build a sense of social responsibility. We support projects in areas such as health, culture, education, community services and sustainability.

How it works in practice

The Volunteer Fire Brigade in Godów received an AED defibrillator with a first-aid training manikin, the brigade in Czernięcin renovated the exit from its fire station, and in Markuszów a grant equipped the Youth Fire Team. Firefighters from Kików received new protective gear. The program has also supported the “Pod Stumilowym Lasem” and “Za Żywopłotem” kindergartens.

In Šišan, Croatia, a grant helped turn the grounds of the “Bubamara” kindergarten into a playground that doubles as a learning space. 24 people worked on it: volunteers, teachers and local residents.
